Growing Awareness
“The list of 100 gamechangers in food shows how strong the drive for innovation is in the food system,” says the Food100 jury. “Innovative farmers, foodtech start-ups, researchers, activists, food designers, retailers, caterers, and industry organizations: awareness has significantly increased throughout the food chain in recent years. A better food system will only become a reality when the conviction grows that healthier and more sustainable food is possible.”

Dialogue Within the Food Chain
Knowledge sharing and connection are more important than ever. It’s not polarization that will move us forward, but a continuous dialogue between all players in the food chain. In the heated debate about the future of the agrifood sector in the Netherlands, understanding each other’s roles is essential. That’s why an initiative like Food100 is important. Food100 brings innovators together with the established order, connecting the younger generation with seniors in agrifood. The list consists of 50 emerging talents under the age of 35 and 50 established food changemakers over the age of 35. Together, they can have even more impact and inspire the entire sector.

Initiators and Partners
The initiators of Food100 are AgriFood Capital, Food Hub, Food Inspiration, and Slow Food Youth Network. Food100 is made possible with the support of Rabobank, Foodvalley NL, and World Food Center.
